It appears that in just three years, the fleet of electric passenger vehicles and delivery vehicles (BEVs) will increase almost eightfold and exceed 700,000. auto.

Among the most popular brands, Tesla leads the way, significantly outpacing BMW, Nissan, Mercedes, and Volkswagen. In terms of body types, urban SUVs have a clear advantage, accounting for as much as 47% of all new BEV registrations. This reflects Poles' commitment to combining ecology with functionality and creating space for the entire family.

How is Poland catching up with Western Europe in electromobility?

Similarly to Western European countries, where the share of electric cars in the new passenger car market exceeded 10% in 2021. According to PSNM forecasts, Poland has a chance to reach this level in 2027. However, as research shows, much depends on the development of subsidy programs and charging infrastructure.

This year, the share of electric cars in the Polish market could increase to as much as 4-5%, which is a significant increase compared to 2024, when BEVs had a share of no more than 3%.

Recent legislative changes implemented by the European Union, although partially easing CO₂ emission requirements for car manufacturers, will not stop the upward trend of electromobility in Poland.
