It's been decided. Poczta Polska focused on promoting electromobility by introducing electric cars for deliveries to its fleet. The new vehicles will also include MAXUS e-Deliver 3, a delivery van offering significant transport capabilities. This change is intended not only to protect the environment, but also to bring significant financial savings and improve the working conditions of Poczta Polska employees.
What will it look like in practice?
The transition from combustion cars to electric cars is an excellent opportunity for Poczta Polska to emphasize its involvement in the green transformation, but also to improve its image, which has experienced some controversy in recent years. Soon we will see modern MAXUS e-Deliver 3 vehicles on the streets, which will support the institution's logistics.
The contract signed with Arval Service Lease Polska includes a 3-year service package, vehicle insurance and seasonal tire replacement. Poczta Polska couriers will replace their existing vehicles with new cars. And there will be... 25 of them.
Electric revolution at Poczta Polska: Is this a sufficient step?
It is debatable whether this number of electricians will bring real benefits to air quality, reduce noise and improve drivers' work. Nevertheless, it should be assumed that this is only the beginning of changes, and we can expect a real revolution soon.
However, the question inevitably arises: why doesn't Poczta Polska invest in a domestic brand?
Izera promises to be the first Polish electric car. This is due to cooperation with the Italian studio Pininfarina, responsible for designing iconic models of brands such as BMW, Alfa Romeo, Maserati and Ferrari. However, we have to wait a while, because the first construction works of the factory near Jaworzno and recruitment processes for construction positions have only just started. Soon, however, Jizera will become a reality.
Subsidy for Poczta Polska: Support for fleet electrification
The new MAXUS e-Deliver 3 cars, which will be included in the Poczta Polska fleet, have been specially designed for delivery tasks. They are characterized by a spacious interior and a load capacity of up to 905 kg. Equipped with a 90 kW motor and a 50.2 kWh battery, they offer an impressive range of approximately 371 km, eliminating the need for frequent charging.
Poczta Polska is actively applying for funding from the "Moj Elektryk", in which it is supported by Arval Service Lease Polska. Such financial assistance would be extremely valuable, considering the investment costs estimated at PLN 4 million.
