Record budget for the My Current 6.0 programme: up to PLN 600 million for photovoltaic subsidies

Photovoltaic systems are currently one of the most desirable solutions in the production and use of electricity. With this in mind, the budget of the Mój prąd program has been increased, which significantly expands the group of people interested in RES and subsidies.

This is great news for owners of electric cars who want to effectively reduce their electricity bills.

More and more people decide to install solar panels not only on buildings, but also in open spaces around companies and homes, providing themselves with access to cheap and green power.

A growing group of people interested in this solution are owners of zero-emission vehicles who want to connect their own EV chargers to renewable energy systems and thus take care not only of the environment, but also of savings.

My Electricity Program - another budget tranche

The government initiative "My Electricity" is one of the pillars of support for the green transformation. It offers subsidies for photovoltaic systems. The sixth edition of the program, however, has gained the largest budget in the history of the project - as much as PLN 1.85 billion, thanks to which even more households can benefit from state aid.

The program includes subsidies for the installation of:

  • photovoltaic micro-installations,
  • as well as electricity and heat storage facilities,

which significantly increases the efficiency of using the energy produced.

The subsidy covers up to 50% of eligible costs.

In the case of PV micro-installations, beneficiaries can receive:

  • up to PLN 7,000 (when investing in an energy storage facility)
  • or PLN 6,000. PLN (without it).

For heat storage with a capacity of at least 20 dm³, the following is provided:

  • up to PLN 5,000,
  • and for models with a capacity of 2 kWh – up to PLN 16,000.

Photovoltaic micro-installations are the future of electromobility

Investment in PV micro-installations generates a number of benefits. Firstly: savings in electricity consumption from traditional sources. Own panels and energy storage provide greater energy autonomy and great comfort of everyday use of green power resources. Secondly, using renewable energy sources means lower CO₂ emissions into the atmosphere, which makes driving an electric car even more eco-friendly.

Thanks to energy storage, surplus energy from solar panels can be stored and used, for example, to charge cars at night or when sunlight is low, which effectively optimises energy consumption.

FAQ

  1. What is the Mój Prąd 6.0 programme?
The "Mój Prąd" programme offers co-financing for photovoltaic micro-installations and energy and heat storage facilities, thus supporting the green energy transformation in Poland.

  2. What is the maximum co-financing in the programme?
In the sixth edition of the programme, you can receive up to PLN 7,000 for a PV installation with an energy storage, up to PLN 6,000 without a storage, and additionally up to PLN 16,000 for a heat storage.

  3. Who can benefit from the program?
The program can be used by owners and co-owners of single-family houses who produce electricity for their own needs.

  4. Does the subsidy cover chargers for electric cars?
Yes, connecting an EV charger to the RES system increases the efficiency of energy use, and such an investment can be covered by support under the program.

  5. What are the benefits of investing in photovoltaics?
Lower electricity bills, energy independence, an ecological lifestyle and an increase in the value of real estate.
